Please note that SOX compliance experience has a high priority, they need to be able to look at current processes and determine how to make them better and still be in compliance. Description: The Southern California Region Revenue Cycle Strategic Initiative needs Senior Business Systems Analysts to work with the Business Team to refine and modify existing business processes related to revenue cycle activities to support the overall revenue cycle goals. The Business Systems Analyst will partner with Business to identify and map out system solutions to support the business process changes. The initiative will predominantly focus on changes to existing systems so understanding the scope of the impact to the related business systems based on the process changes is key to this job. The Business Systems Analyst will produce the documentation needed to guide development, testing and training activities and this documentation must be written in a way that all areas of the organization can understand and take appropriate action.

Skills: The role will also demand a high degree of relationship building and management and must work closely with all levels of resource within the organization from Cheif Executives to Project Managers and developers, coders and billers.

A Systems Development Life Cycle exists at Kaiser called CDP. This process will need to be understood and modified as necessary to eliminate any unnecessary elements and focus on only those pieces of the process that will add value to the overall initiatives. Previous ERP experience (SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Lawson) would be helpful along with accounting, finance or billing experience. The main system that will be affected is Epic (KP HealthConnect) but there are also multiple systems and interfaces that are connected to KPHC. A thorough understanding of workflow, testing, database design and programming is required. Candidate must an indepth understanding of finance, accounting, and general ledger. Experience with accounting applications is necessary. Epic is not required, but will be a definite bonus!

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

1. A minimum of three (3) to four (4) years of progressively responsible systems development experience.  .

2. Associate s degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, or Information Systems. Bachelor s degree in the same areas is preferred.
