POSITION SUMMARY:
SAP warehouse management Configuration / Design Analyst specializing in inventory management and warehouse management processes. This position will focus on configuring SAP to support a global ECC deployment. The position requires a core understanding of underlying configuration and related business processes in SAP WM. The candidate should be very familiar with supply chain planning concepts; especially MPS, MRP, CRP, Process execution and related data definitions. Strong knowledge of integration with SD and MM modules of SAP is preferred. Experience with user exits, enhancement and custom development techniques, including the ability to develop functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP developer/s through coding and testing is desired.
The Configuration/Design Analyst works within the SAP Solution Management Team in the clients Global Information Systems organization (GIS). The resource in this role will work with the Strategic Modernization Initiative (SMI) process teams and with his/her peers in SAP Solutions Management to maintain the WM aspect of the SAP solution on an ongoing basis, with a particular focus on Aveda support. The position will support roll-out of the Global Template to manufacturing and distribution locations across the clients companies.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provide production support to live SAP sites as a level 2 business analyst, with a particular focus on Aveda support. Evaluate production execution related issues escalated into the SAP Solution Management team. Propose and test configuration and data changes as necessary to resolve issues.
Participate in business process design and incorporate requirements of clients business/geographies into a common SMI design utilizing standard SAP process models
Assess and recommend SAP delivery mechanisms to satisfy business reporting requirements
Validate the SAP fit to clients business requirements; identify workarounds and business process changes, if necessary
Help maintain consistency and integrity of the SAP configuration across clients business/geographies
Design and develop functional specifications for various development objects
Develop test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for system testing
Prototype, Configure, Unit test, String test, Integration and Regression test clients end to end solution for business processes
Review, develop and contribute to training content
Participate in technical and business process issue resolution
Train and support super users
Coach regional teams on global SAP template as requested
Support the local implementations of the global template, including the identification of the localization elements as requested
Liaise with the business over the requirements, process and implementation
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
5 years IS/development/management experience, 2 years SAP experience.
Trained or experienced in Materials Management, Handling Unit Management Logistics Execution modules (including SAP Warehouse Management 4.7 or above, Shipping, Transportation, Mobile applications using RF handhelds)
Knowledge of Integration areas with Sales Distribution, Production Planning
Knowledge ASAP methodology and SAP implementation best practices, Minimum 2 full cycle implementations
Knowledge of SAP best practices and CPG template
Demonstrated capability to graphically document workflow, roles and responsibilities at a functional (system user) level in the area of Warehouse Management and Inventory Management etc.
Demonstrated capability to work effectively within a matrix organization
Travel will be required
